April 8 – Human creation and “what is man?”

As Catholic and Christian men (and as Knights), we are called to live lives of charity.  From time to time, we may forget that one of the most essential forms of charity involves our love for ourselves (as God’s creation) and for our family.

Fr. Mike Schmitz, campus minister at the University of Minnesota Duluth, preached a crash course on the Church’s teaching on the human body and its designs.  During his many addresses, Pope St. John Paul II provided the Church with a catechetical teaching we now know as the Theology of the Body.  Many have presented on this work in recent years, and we’ll be taking a look at Fr. Schmitz’s presentations over our next two Cor meetings.

This month we will be watching Fr. Scmhitz’s first talk, From the Beginning, focusing on Genesis 1-3 and answering the question “what is man” and “what is the purpose of human sexuality?”
